Tribute to Love
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die …
The Holy Bible
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Life is meant to be lived in a powerfully loving way; with love, there should be no judgement.
In adding this page to my site, I aim to give a universal message that there is no greater power, than the power of love.
By sharing my insights with you, both through my site, my books and public speaking, it is my hope to spread love and healing throughout
the universe.
In writing these words I am reminded of one of my all time favourite movies St Elmo's Fire. It was the death of my friend Anneke Nygh
in a car accident, whom I used to watch this movie with countless times and trade lines of dialogue such as 'I'm in touch with that
emotion' (eventually we knew all the dialogue by heart!), that prompted me to add this page. Our mantra, inspired by this movie, was
'friends for eternity'. Anneke's sudden exit from this world gave me a moment of pause, and still to this end gives me a quiet strength
in the knowledge that she lived her life to the fullest and was an inspiration in her own very special way.
The line of dialogue from St Elmo's Fire that now sticks in my mind:
'I always thought we'd be friends forever. Yeh well, forever got a lot shorter all of a sudden'.
And a lyric from the St Elmo's Fire soundtrack:
'Life goes on, people touch and then they're gone ….'
Losing someone special, whether it be through death, circumstance or the deliberate choice of the other person, can create an
overwhelming sense of loss. But even with the passage of time, the bond of love will never die. As much as it hurts to be without them,
as much as you miss their gentle presence, life is only enriched through the experience of having known them. Especially the beautiful
people who have touched our hearts.
There is a time to be born, and a time to die, and nobody knows when that will be. There is much to be said for living in the moment.
Moments come and go, some are more memorable than others, some can alter the course of your life forever.
Moments make memories - if we
can make the most out of each and every moment, we will start to derive more out of life than just merely existing.
The most important thing that we can carry with us in everyday life, through all the tumultuous lessons and curveballs life throws our
way, is that place inside that we all have - that place of divine love and peace. For that is something no-one can ever take away. To
find that place takes patience and focus, but I promise you, it is there, just waiting to be discovered.
Every one of us is unique and special, and we all have our own special gifts to contribute to the world. The lessons that we learn along
the way give us the opportunity to grow as individuals.
Nobody deserves to suffer. It may be that the problem commands our focus; but it's actually how we live in its presence that is most
important. For we can choose to live as victims, in that helpless, hopeless victim mentality.
Or we can choose to stand up and fight,
take action, take control, make things happen.
When you start to shift your focus off your own personal pain and suffering, and onto the different ways you can use the love in your
heart to bring joy and happiness into your life and the lives of those around you, that is when you will start to tap into that amazing
loving power that lies within.
Draw on that powerful love and bring it into your everyday life, create an aura of positive energy that radiates to everyone you come
across, and importantly, helps you to realise that you can make a difference not only to the way you live your life, but to those around
you too.
I truly believe that if we live our lives in a powerfully loving way, with honesty and integrity, together we can help to ease pain and
suffering and become a loving, healing force in the universe.
There is nothing more beautiful than living with love, peace and forgiveness in our hearts. And nothing more fulfilling than sharing it
with others.
I invite you to send me messages to those you have loved and lost and I will post them on this page. It can be someone you lost through
the devastating consequences of an eating disorder, a friendship that has ended or
fallen by the wayside … it can be anyone that has caused you to feel a sense of loss.
By putting it out there, it will help you
to heal through love and forgiveness, and the knowledge that everything happens for a reason, for your higher good. Together we will put
a special energy out there and send a surge of powerful love to those we cherish in the deepest recesses of our hearts and minds; to those
we will always think of with love and affection.

I'll start with my own:
A special message to my friend Anneke -
Nanu we are still friends for eternity. I can feel your presence and always will. I know you are under God's care now. A free spirit; a neverending beacon of divine light.
