Life is an Adventure

Every moment counts. That's why we need to make the most of every minute of every day, and ensure none of our precious time is wasted; trapped in negative thought processes or doing things that bring us down or make us feel bad.

Life is meant to be LIVED - the time is NOW!

What do you enjoy doing? What would you classify as a ten out of ten - the things that you really love? What brings a smile to your face and makes you feel good? The scent of a sunflower, watching a beautiful sunset, the thrill of white water rafting ... it will be different for every one of us.

It is your answer to these questions that is most important. What does living a wonderful life mean to you? If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?

I promise you, it IS possible to love what you do and make your dreams come true.

I have written about this in How to Recover from Anorexia and Other Eating Disorders on *Page 115:-

A sufferer once asked me 'what's the point of living'? That was a hard question, but one I knew the answer to so well because I used to ask myself the same thing when I had anorexia ... There was one thing I always remembered when I asked myself that question. I wanted to know what was in the world. I wanted to see things that would take my breath away. I wanted to marvel at a sunset, see the Eiffel Tower, live in different cultures, experience the unknown. I didn't want to die in a hospital bed. If I was going to die it was going to be climbing Everest or surfing a ten-foot wave in Hawaii ... So when I asked that self-same question, my answer was simple and came straight from the heart. I could hear the words as I spoke them and they were like the sweetest melody, an old friend, a piece of my soul: 'The world is full of so many beautiful, amazing things, just waiting for you to explore'.

Apart from helping and inspiring others through writing and public speaking, one of my great loves is travelling around the world enjoying new and different experiences. And as a true advocate for living life to the fullest and living in the moment, I intend to lead by example.

So to show that I am true to my word, here's a snapshot of some of the things I have dreamed about doing and, with passion, enthusiasm and a bit of planning, have turned into reality:-

Cruising down Highway 1 between San Francisco and LA on a motorbike ...

...Dining at one of LA's most famous restaurants - the Polo Lounge, Beverly Hills

Wakeboarding on Sydney's Hawkesbury River ...

... Catching a show on Broadway in New York

Is this inspiring you to get out there and make your dreams come true? GOOD!! Because that's what makes life such a rich, beautiful experience.

Live life to the fullest. Make every moment count.

The time to realise your dreams is NOW!

Life is too precious to waste.
